Our Story (CON't)

We have been called "Glasgow's Little Hidden Gem" .. although we are only 5 mins drive from Partick (10mins on the bus) we are in a semi-industrial area and definitely NOT where you expect to find a Spanish Tapas Bar and despite it being a large building people often drive past before they spot us!

We're abolutely delighted that the food menu has been be so successful. Our aim was to provide good, simple food that we would eat at home ... but that seems to be where the success lies. We don't use manufactured flavourings but enhance the flavour with fresh herbs and good honest fresh produce.

The menu is made up of our own favourite dishes (not only Spanish) as well as recipes from Alexis Mother and Auntie, to which various members of the kitchen staff have also added their favourites over the years. So when we say Spanish home cooking that's exactly what we mean. All our kitchen staff are trained in-house with our menu - it's important to have consistency.

We try to keep a good standard with our live entertainment while keeping it as varied as possible. At first we kept it to Dance performance nights with DWA Dancers and the DWA Flamenco Group & guests. Now we've branched out and include live gigs with different bands from Cuban to Scottish, Jazz to Rock with a big dance theme underlying everything.

You just won't get this atmosphere anywhere else, with quality entertainment, delicious food and a chance to dance to live music. Even on our regular DJ Nights for Salsa, Tango and aftershow parties that include styles from Hip Hop to Bollywood, you have that choice to join in the fun or sit back and enjoy the atmosphere with a wee tapa and glass of wine or a full meal.

We get lots of big groups using La Bodega for a great night out - eating, drinking and dancing together. It's such a great party venue. On week nights you may find dancers and / or bands rehearsing. Always fun to watch - a bit of live entertainment at no extra cost.

Of course we run kids' dance classes as well in DWA studios and it definitely provides a bit of "me" time for parents to relax and have coffee, read the paper or use the free wifi while the kids are in class. The economically price menu makes it attractive to stay for some food afterwards and everybody's happy! On top of that we have Family Fun Days with classes for all the family and meal deals for participants ... and kids are welcome until 10pm (under 7s at management discretion after 8.30pm)

It's lovely to see all ages partying and enjoying themselves together in one venue .... there's something for everyone and it most definitely makes us unique.
