Extreme orienteering rally Harpagan-61. Lipusz, April 8-10
Harpagan 2022: For the 61st time. Harpagan Extreme Orienteering Rally will be launched. This time on April 8-10 we will meet in Lipusz. This will be a unique edition – in these areas Harpagan will go for the second time in its more than 30-year history. Interesting routes await the participants amidst the magnificent forests of Lipuška.
On April 8 (Friday) at 8:30 p.m., a 24-hour orienteering march will begin, during which participants have 100 kilometers to cover. This is the longest route in terms of time, but not the only one on this rally.
Test yourself, test your skills! Anyone who completes one of the longest routes (walking 100km, cycling 200km, mixed 150km) within the time limit by finding the designated checkpoints with the help of a map and compass will receive the honorable title of “Harpagan”.
You are afraid of the distance? We have specially prepared shorter walking routes of 50 or 25 kilometers for you. Ideal routes for those who have never tried their hand at orienteering marches. Want to instill a love of activity in your loved ones? With children and beginners in mind, we have prepared routes „HARPUŚ” – 10 km on foot or 20 km by bike. This is where you can try your own hand at navigation for the first time. Who knows – maybe in the future your kids will win the title of Harpagan? Before these launches, the organizer provides map and compass training – you’ll learn everything you need to go on an adventure with a map!
If your passion is bicycles check your capabilities and skills on the bike trails. A distance of 200 kilometers to be covered in 14 hours. If this distance is too long, or you’re competing for the first time, try your hand at 100 or 50 kilometer routes. It is important that you determine the route yourself and at any time you can shorten the distance by returning to the Rally base earlier.
Would you like to take off on the walking and cycling route? Not sure which one to choose? The mixed route will be perfect for you. 50 kilometers on foot + 100 kilometers by bike is a dream route for the most persistent.
These moments you will not forget for a long time – we provide the power of experience on the route, among the beautiful forests and charming wilderness, away from the hustle and bustle of the city!
At every step – in the Base and in the field, the organizers of the Rally will be watching over you. Nutritional points with campfires will be waiting in the field, where you can rest before continuing your hike and replenish calories. Join today and check yourself on the largest rally in Poland!
